Driver Dustin L. has formed a special bond with a young fan on his route. Like clockwork, every Friday Dustin slows down, waves and honks the horn outside of the boy’s house and gives him enough time to come outside to watch Dustin service the nearby container.
When the local Bloomington team found out about this super fan, they decided to go above and beyond and surprise him with his very own Republic Services toy truck and other gear. He also got the chance to sit in the cab of the truck and pull the air horn.
“It was a great opportunity to make this young boy’s day and also recognize Dustin for his commitment to our customers,” said Ben P., General Manager, Western Indiana BU. “Thanks to Dustin for being Committed to Serve and Operations Manager Jason R. for coordinating the visit.”
