In the spirit of the Summer Olympics, I was inspired by the athletes and their personal stories about how they achieved excellence in their sports. A common theme was their unwavering dedication to training. That got me thinking about the importance of Republic’s trainings – and how they play a critical role in how we achieve excellence in ethics and compliance.
Each of us plays a major role in maintaining our highly ethical and compliant culture, and one way we fulfill this responsibility is by completing all training courses assigned by the Company. Training is part of every job and should be treated with the same level of dedication as your daily job responsibilities. Every employee at every level is expected to complete the training within the required timeframe – so don’t wait for others to remind you to complete the training within the set deadlines.
We recognize that your days are busy, and sometimes it can be difficult to devote the required time and attention to your assigned training. That is why our Ethics & Compliance team has been focusing on refreshing Republic’s training courses so they are shorter, easier to understand, and more engaging. Our updated courses get right to the point and won’t require you to spend hours navigating to the end. In fact, most of our updated trainings are 20 minutes or less!
