Thank you to our nearly 200 volunteers who came together to support the Historic West Side of Las Vegas. As a part of their project, our team partnered with Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada to renovate spaces at the Andre Agassi Boys and Girls Club. Renovations included remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen, painting the gym and other projects. The team also worked to clean up the neighborhood by collecting bulk trash, trimming trees, and painting house numbers on the curb to create a safer and cleaner environment.
“It was really awesome to see all the different groups come out to help with the Historic Westside National Neighborhood Promise project. We were joined by members of the Las Vegas Police Department, local Rotary Club, City of Las Vegas employees, Clark County employees and elected officials, a youth football team, and many others. There is so much history in this great neighborhood, so I think that made it easy for folks to decide to lend a hand to this historically underserved community. We have the privilege of being the service provider for the City of Las Vegas, so we have a responsibility to help the communities we serve with projects like this.”

“Republic Services is committed to giving back to the communities that we live and work in. Our volunteers are a shining example of what it means to be a good neighbor and were thrilled to support this important initiative in the Historic Westside”
