Calling all drivers, operators and technicians – Republic’s 2023 BU ROAD-EO Season starts June 1! We’re proud of the work you do day-in and day-out to serve our customers, and as part of our continued commitment to you, our frontline employees, we’re pleased to announce enhancements to this year’s BU ROAD-EO competitions.
For those of you who are new to Republic Services’ ROAD-EO, we officially launched these Business Unit competitions in 2016 to engage our drivers and technicians, reinforce the importance of safety, and recognize the best-of-the-best across the country. In 2017, we held our first-ever ROAD-EO National Championship in Phoenix, Arizona. It was an amazing event and a great time of celebration. In 2018, we added a Post-Collection competition to engage our heavy equipment operators and techs.
And today, we’re excited to announce two new categories for 2023! For our environmental services employees, we have added a new Vac Truck category! And, on the Post-Collection side, we have added a new Forklift category. Now, drivers, operators and technicians of the following equipment can compete:

While this is not a qualifying year for our national competition, BU ROAD-EOs will be held for drivers, operators and technicians to compete at the local level. Please check with your Supervisor for details.
