As we near the end of Maintenance Awareness Month, we want to highlight one of our most transformative initiatives: the electrification of our fleet. This initiative will revolutionize our maintenance teams’ operations, streamlining key tasks and enhancing overall efficiency.
Fleet electrification provides many benefits, including:
- Increased efficiencies in preventive maintenance due to shorter service intervals and fewer fluid changes
- Fewer hydraulic failures thanks to electric pumps providing smoother operations for the hydraulic systems
- Reduced brake replacements thanks to the electric motor’s braking system (regenerative breaking)
The significant shift away from traditional combustion engines and exhaust systems will reduce routine inspection times by half. This transition will allow our maintenance teams to focus more on critical system optimizations and reduce costs for replacement parts.
Our transition to an electric fleet is our commitment to our values of being Environmentally Responsible, Driven and Human-Centered. It’s not just about embracing new technology; it’s about empowering our maintenance team to work smarter, not harder! The future of fleet maintenance is here, and it’s electric.
