Everyday Ethics: Pay for Hours Worked (Take The Quiz!)

This month, we’re focusing on employees getting paid correctly, for all time worked. Recording accurate time and receiving payment for all time worked is not just the right choice, it’s the law. Here are some things to keep in mind when recording your time:

  • You must be paid for all time worked.
    • Mistakes happen, but we have a duty to always act ethically and responsibly. This includes when it comes time to accurately record your hours worked.
  • You may only clock yourself in or out.
    • If you forgot to clock out or need help correcting your time, work with your manager to get it corrected.
    • Clocking someone else in or out could lead to serious consequences for you as well as the Company.
  • If you’re ever asked to clock someone else in our out, you must say no and report it to your manager, another member of management, your HR partner, the Legal Department, the Ethics & Compliance team, or the confidential AWARE Line if you want to remain anonymous.
