On day four of Ethics Week, we’re highlighting our value of Committed to Serve – we go above and beyond to exceed our customers’ expectations. Our colleagues, customers and suppliers rely on us to be fair and honest, and make the right choice, every time. The right choice may not be the easiest or most popular one, but we always make the right choice that aligns with our values.
When faced with a difficult situation, remember the following:
- Always use your best judgment.
- When the right choice is unclear, think through the issue before you act.
- Do not take chances that could lead to serious consequences for you and the Company.
Ethics Q&A

We spoke with Delina B., Ethics Champion, on how she lives our Value of Committed to Serve and how she makes the right choice.
Q: How do you live our value of Committed to Serve?
Being Committed to Serve means putting others first. I show care through my actions every day. I lead with humility, purpose and heart. I start with a service mindset. I show up for people at work and in life. I pay attention, offer help and adjust to what people need.
I build trust by doing what I say I will do. I listen with care, respond with empathy and act with honesty. I address concerns early and stay open and clear in my actions. Trust grows when people see consistent care over time.
Q: What have you learned about Making the Right Choice in your time as an Ethics Champion?
My three main learnings as an Ethics Champion have been to start by:
- Knowing what kind of issue I am facing. I use the ethics framework, policies and rules to guide my choices at work and in life.
- I pause before I act. I set aside judgment and focus on what is fair and right. I think about the impact on others and choose what is best for everyone involved.
- I make careful choices that follow our values. I act with honesty, care and respect. Doing the right thing builds trust and helps others do the same.
Q: How do you encourage others to Make the Right Choice?
I encourage others not to make decisions alone. I bring in coworkers, mentors and ethics partners to challenge thinking and reduce bias. Together we look at pros and cons, share facts and make a clear plan. I help others see the impact of their choices and learn from mistakes, not just the results.
Remember, our Code of Business Ethics and Conduct can guide you in handling many situations but does not address every situation you may come across. In addition to our Code, you can also seek guidance within the policies, procedures and the Employee Handbook. You can also contact any member of your management team, your HR partner, the Legal Department or the Ethics & Compliance Office.
