On our third day of Ethics Week, we’re focusing on “Our Value in Action,” Committed to Serve – We go above and beyond to exceed our customers’ expectations. Here are some examples of how we take ownership to create a great customer experience:
- We treat our customers and suppliers ethically, fairly and in compliance with all applicable Company policies and laws. By being fair and honest, we build trust and maintain long-lasting relationships with our customers and suppliers.
- We maintain responsible business practices and safeguard customer and supplier information. We also take measures to ensure we only do business with partners who obey the law and operate fairly and ethically.
As a part of our Speak Up culture, we expect our employees to report known or suspected misconduct. Think about this example of how our employees made the right choice:
An employee noticed a customer’s email address in our customer relationship management system and wanted to know if they could use the email address to contact the customer about a personal matter. Before reaching out to the customer, the employee asked if their manager if this would be okay. Their manager told them it was never okay to use customer information beyond the business purpose for which it was provided.
Our customers provide us with their information to enable us to perform services for them and trust us to safeguard their information. The employee did the right thing by seeking guidance when they were uncertain in the situation and their manager did the right thing by upholding our policies and protecting the information of our customers.
This is a great example of how our employees put our values of Committed to Serve into action.
