Upcycle your recycle with a craft project. Recycling is great for plastic bottles and jugs – but you also can get creative and turn an empty 2-liter bottle into a planter. It’s a fun project for all ages, and it will add some greenery to your space. Download the video instructions here to make a dog or cat planter or make your own design.

Earth Day Photo Contest! Show Us Your Favorite Place on Earth!

There are so many ways to celebrate our planet on Earth Day, have fun and help the environment.As we all work hard to take care of our Blue Planet®, Earth Day is a great time to remember why it’s worth saving in the first place. We want to know how you enjoy our amazing, beautiful planet.
Send us a photo of your favorite place on Earth and you could be a winner! Is there a National Park you love to visit or a hiking or biking trail that brings you joy and serenity? Maybe your favorite place on Earth is your own backyard with your family, or maybe it’s Walt Disney World! Wherever it is, let us know and we’ll share your photo here.
At the end of the contest, we’ll select 8 lucky winners who will receive a Basecamp® hammock, perfect for enjoying the great outdoors. We’ll also give away very cool upcycled travel kits made from reclaimed truck inner tubes.
Photos are due Friday, April 19. We’ll announce the winners on Earth Day, Monday, April 22.
