The Pine Bend Landfill located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, is a popular place for Eagles to hang out as it’s one of the highest points in the County. Recently, Operations Manager Jeff B. noticed a wounded Eagle during a site inspection and a call was made to the Minnesota State Department of Natural Resources. Thanks to Jeff B. and the local Conservation Officer, they were able to cordon off and catch the injured Eagle, who could run but couldn’t fly.
The Eagle was brought to a local sanctuary where it will be mended and hopefully released back into the wild. They named him “Jeff the Eagle.”
