In a remarkable display of Customer Zeal in Port Lavaca, TX, Drivers Paul G. and Charles M. went above and beyond to help a local couple recover valuable documents and cash that had been accidentally thrown away.
On April 6, what could have been a devastating loss turned into a heartwarming story of dedication and service. Early that morning, residents discovered that a package containing original manuscripts, important documents and cash had been mistakenly placed in their trash bin the previous day, and had just been collected.
In a panic, the couple immediately tracked down our truck still operating in their neighborhood. Drivers Paul and Charles didn’t hesitate to search through the collected trash. When the initial search proved difficult, the drivers contacted their Supervisor Tim G., who instructed them to return to the Victoria Landfill where the truck could be safely emptied, allowing for a more thorough search. At the landfill, the drivers methodically sorted through the trash and, to everyone’s relief, located the missing package with all documents and money intact.
