A young boy named Carter recently took part in a box car parade at his school in Las Vegas. He proudly chose to design his car as a Republic Services truck, a detail spotted by one of the school’s staff, who mentioned it to her father, Driver Peter T.
When Peter heard about Carter’s project, he didn’t hesitate to make the moment special. He first came out to the parade to cheer Carter on in person. Then, a few days later, he returned to the school with Ops Manager Jeffrey L. to surprise Carter again, this time with a Republic Services toy truck.
“The joy on my son’s face was unforgettable. I can’t overstate how thoughtful and generous this gesture was,” said Katelyn, Carter’s mom. “Peter’s kindness, pride in his work, and willingness to create such a meaningful moment for a child speaks volumes about him and about Republic Services. Knowing that he’s been with Republic for 17 years makes this even more special.”
