Kudos to Driver Michael R. for helping out a young woman who was stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire and two toddlers in the back seat. When Michael saw the situation, he stopped to change the tire that had blown out. The woman’s mother, and also a Republic Services customer, was so impressed with Michael’s actions that she wrote a letter of praise, saying in part,
“I don’t have to tell you that this selfless act of reaching out to a stranger in need is not so common these days. He could have just driven by. When I realized that Michael is an employee of MY trash company, I felt very proud to know that you employee people of this caliber and character, and I wanted you to know how very impressed I was by his actions.” – Sincerely, Linda V.
