Driver Justin J. has been described as an angel and a hero by a resident in Wilmington, Delaware. And we couldn’t agree more!
On his route, Justin noticed a house on fire. The homeowner was in her back sunroom and had no idea. Justin slammed on his horn and didn’t let up until the homeowner ran to the front door. Realizing her garage was engulfed in flames, she quickly ran back into the house to grab her dog, and they both made it out safely.
Justin called 911 and used his fire extinguisher to settle down the fire until fire fighters rushed to the scene. More than that, Justin stayed with the homeowner to provide comfort until a friend arrived.
The homeowner can’t thank Justin enough for his kindness and thoughtfulness. She wrote in a letter to Justin, “I want you to know how truly blessed I feel that you were there for me on that horrifying day. You will remain my hero!”

A 15 years
Q What do you like most about your job?
A The responsibility of driving and the enjoyment of seeing the excitement of kids when they see the big blue truck.
Q How does it feel to be called a Hero?
A I really do not feel like a hero, it is the Godly thing to do and I would hope that someone would do the same for me and my family.
Q What do you like to do in your free time?
A Fishing, watching football (former coach), attending church & bible study, and traveling.
