July is Distracted Driving Awareness Month at Republic Services, an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and eliminate preventable deaths and injuries on our roadways. According to the latest statistics released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, over 3,000 people die in auto accidents due to distracted driving every year.
When you’re behind the wheel, your only job is to drive. Keep your eyes on the road, hands on the wheel and mind focused on the road. You should never engage in an activity that distracts you from driving safely.
When we say safety is our #1 company priority, we mean it. That means every one of us needs to put safety first to help ensure that every employee goes home safely at night.
