Q. How long have you worked for Republic Services?
Aminta: 3.5 years
Q. What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Aminta: A lot of coffee and prioritizing tasks.
Q. What energizes you at work?
Aminta: I love being the go-to person for my team. I am always looking for ways to help my team.
Q. What energizes you outside of work?
Aminta: My daughter! She is a super active toddler and loves to play and learn.
Q. Can you tell us about one time you went above and beyond for a customer?
Aminta: It was the end of the day when a recording came through for a customer who was having trouble getting their trash serviced. I called back to see how we could help. It turned out that it was the customer’s sister who had called. The customer had passed away and the sister was in town to help and didn’t know anybody. During the call, she became very overwhelmed with emotion. I was able to calm her down and stayed on the phone with her for a little while longer. We were able to work out her trash issue and I gained a long-distance friend.

Autumn: Teamwork and good coffee!
Q. What energizes you outside of work?
Autumn: Watching my daughter play volleyball and yard work.
Q. Can you tell me about one time you went above and beyond for a customer?
Autumn: A sweet elderly man came into the office and needed help filling out his check. I would do this for him every other month and include a note on his receipt to remind him when to come back again so he wouldn’t forget.
