Did You Know? Water …

As the summer months set in and temperatures start to climb, our friends in Safety remind us to take precautions when we’re out in the sun and heat. Since safety is our No. 1 Company priority, it’s important to keep summer safety top of mind.

Watch this month’s Focus Together video for tips on avoiding heat-related illness and fatigue.

Keeping yourself hydrated is one of the most important things you can do to stay safe this summer. Did you know, water:

  • Regulates body temperature
  • Lubricates and cushions your joints
  • Helps your body remove waste and toxins
  • Is convenient! Carry a reusable bottle with you and take a drink throughout the day

Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoiding caffeine. The minimum amount of water you should drink per day is your body weight divided by two ounces. For example, a 200-pound person should drink 100 ounces of water.
