Detroit & Ontario BU Celebrates One Million Safe Hours

For our Detroit and Ontario Business Unit, safety isn’t just a priority — it’s a way of life.

Employees at BU636 in the ES Central Area recently achieved an incredible milestone: 1 million hours or 3 ½ years without a TRIR (OSHA Recordable) injury. This accomplishment reflects far more than a number. It represents thousands of safe decisions, daily focus and a shared commitment to looking out for one another.

“I convey to my team daily, and they understand that nothing we do is more important than our team members going home safe to their families,” said General Manager Winston W. “That drives our actions, our decisions, and the way we show up for each other.”

Through intentional engagement, strong leadership and a culture of accountability, the team has built something truly sustainable. Supervisors stay engaged, frontline teams remain focused and safety continues to be a core value embedded in every aspect of the operation.

Congratulations to the entire Detroit and Ontario team for setting the bar high and leading the way in EHS Excellence. Let’s keep the momentum going!
