Today’s a big day at Republic Services as we Go-Live with Wave 1 of our Core Systems Modernization Program – Oracle Cloud. This includes moving our Finance and Procurement systems from ePro and Lawson to Oracle. Users of these systems will be able to access information with Oracle’s user-friendly interface and interconnected data model that puts information right at your fingertips.
The transition to Oracle is part of our digital transformation strategy and will bring major benefits to our company. It will streamline our Finance and Procurement systems, how we access and use data, and how we interact with our suppliers. Think about the people this will impact:
Everyone in finance
Anyone who purchases/receives anything
Anyone who manages spend
Anyone who looks at a P&L or other financial reports
As well as anyone who helps keep the Workday hierarchy up to date!
This is a big change for many of us, and we’ll need to be patient over the next few weeks and months as we learn to operate in a different way.
This day is the culmination of over a year and a half of hard work from over 250 members of the Program Team, Subject Matter Experts, and Mod Squad members. Congratulations to everyone who played a role on this project for a job well done! And thank you to all of our new Oracle end-users!
