Congratulations 101 Days of Summer Safety Contest Winners

Summer is officially over. Slowly but surely the leaves are turning, the morning air feels crisper and fall flavors are turning up everywhere.

Thank you to all who participated in our 101 Days of Summer Safety contest, sharing how they were staying safe during the hot summer months and how they put our top value, Safe, into a way of life.

Winners will receive a 40 oz. insulated water bottle, hydration pack or Bluetooth speaker! And the winners are…

Michael N.
Operations Supervisor
Easley, SC“We stayed hydrated, watched where we stepped, kept a fire extinguisher by the grill, and enjoyed the summer.”
Melissa W.
Billing Coordinator
Placentia, CA“I stayed safe by keeping myself indoors with A/C and when I was outdoors, drinking cold drinks such as an ice-cold cup of homemade lemonade in a recyclable container!”
Tanner S
Area Manager, Safety
San Antonio, TX“Preventing heat illnesses is the utmost priority for the health of my son. Wearing long sleeves, wearing a hat, and applying sunscreen are important when playing outside, especially at the beach. We ensure hydration with lots of water breaks and time in the shade to limit sun exposure. My wife and I ensure he has a portable fan while traveling for some extra cool down. My family even plans activities like going to the zoo in the morning to avoid the hottest parts of the day.”
Allison V.
Sr. Customer Support Specialist
Belleville, MI“I am staying safe from the heat this summer by remembering that “Hydration is Key!” Sometimes it’s hard to remember to do this simple task, especially if you are busy or out in the field. I know I struggle to hydrate when I am out and about. Remember – If you are thirsty, you are already mildly dehydrated! I always have two refillable water bottles on me and drink as much water as I can every time I notice that an hour has gone by.”
Kacee C.
Technical Service Specialist I
Meridian, ID“I am staying cool this summer by seeking out the water! Nothing better to cool off with than a mountain lake. I wear ball caps, sunglasses, and sunshirts to keep myself protected. I also bring my furry friends with me, so they can cool off too.”
Jessica P.
Sr. Compensation Analyst
Boise, ID“While rafting or spending time on the water always wear a personal flotation device.”
