Republic Services has been at the forefront of clean-up efforts underway after an oil pipeline spilled into the waters off the Orange County coast two weeks ago. As part of our commitment to the environment and the communities where we live and work, we have roughly 250 people on the ground working to support recovery efforts including the collection, transport and disposal of waste.
Being there when disasters strike to take care of our teams and serve our customers isn’t new for Republic Services. But being called on to help with the devastating effects of an oil spill is a new opportunity to provide environmental services, thanks in part to our recent acquisition of ACV Enviro.

ACV is an environmental solutions company based in the Northeast that provides customers nationwide with field, industrial, and specialty waste treatment and disposal services, some of which are new to Republic. This segment of the environmental industry is expanding quickly and gives us new opportunities to grow our environmental solutions business and serve customers in a broader way.
