Q. How long have you been with Republic?
A. I have been working at Republic for five years.
Q. Can you share a little more on your personal connection or passion for the B.O.U.N.D. Foundation?
A. In 2008, the initial idea of what later became the Bound Foundation was formed in the backyard of my house, while building a basketball court for my son, Kobe. Within weeks of building the court for him, my yard became a place for all the neighborhood kids to come and play ball after school and during the summertime. From here, I started the Bound Basketball Camp and I became a coach at the EEYB Basketball League. During this time, I helped several young kids become better athletes and instill solid life lessons. Kobe is now 22 years old and is a solid running back and wide receiver at Chowan University. Proud to say that Kobe was recently name to the Dean’s List. Now that I no longer have day to day interaction with Kobe, I have taken the Bound Basketball Camp and transformed it into the B.O.U.N.D. Foundation to help support my community.
