Q. How long have you been with Republic?
A. 6 Years
Q. Can you share a little more on your personal connection or passion for the Arkabutla Lake Rehabilitation Nature Center (ARK)?
A. I have always been an avid outdoorsman. When I was selected to the Leadership Desoto program, we were given a choice of five organizations to learn about and help. I knew right away the ARK was where I wanted to spend my time and resources to help them achieve their goal. I have been working closely with them ever since to get an education pavilion built, which is now 100% complete in phase 1. We are now shifting focus to phase 2, which includes a 5,000 square foot Bald Eagle enclosure ─ the only facility of its kind in the U.S., modeled from one in Sweden. This will allow rehabilitation for Bald Eagles in our area and will be a state-of-the-art educational resource. The ARK is very special as it is accessible to all via walking trails, bike trails, etc. They provide education programs to children and adults. It’s a place the entire community can enjoy with their families, all while preserving wildlife conservation.
Q. What is something people may not know about you?

Q. Tell us about some of your hobbies or interests?
A. I enjoy spending time with my family doing anything outdoors, mainly traveling looking for new mountains to explore in our UTV.
Q. I am my best self at work and outside work when ___________.
A. … I know that everything I am putting effort into is getting 100% effort and will positively benefit others.
