On September 14,employees in Chicago gathered for a National Neighborhood Promise® (NNP) Day with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago to help revitalize Habilitative Systems, Inc. (HSI). The improvements at the Center are supported through a $250,000 NNP grant from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation. More than 50 volunteers worked inside the facility painting a large mural, installing flooring and rehabbing common areas while improvements made outside included a new deck, landscaping, repainting the parking lot and enhancing outdoor common space.
“Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and worked on critical revitalization projects that truly make a difference in our community. We know the people who depend on HSI will have greater pride in the facility and the organization after today.” – Wanda Ramirez, CEO, Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago
