The awards recognize drivers who operate their trucks safely and responsibly, have outstanding performance records and whose contributions have enhanced the overall safety and image of the solid waste industry. Felix M., Mt. Prospect, Illinois
Felix has been a part of Republic Services as a Residential Driver for 26 years. He is dependable and consistently drives exceptional results, develops meaningful connections with customers and colleagues alike and exemplifies Customer Zeal. He owns his role in works tirelessly to maintain our company’s reputation for excellent customer service, resulting in exceptional customer experiences.
Throughout his career, Felix has worked in every Line of Business and can expertly operate every piece of equipment we use but prefers to work in the Residential department because he likes to stay active.
“What sets Felix apart is his ability to connect with customers and colleagues. He always engages with people in a polite and friendly manner. His interpersonal skills and ability to connect with our customers, along with his diligent and exceptional work ethic, are second to none,” said Robert G., General Manager.
Felix has received many compliments from customers, including a letter from an elderly customer in Mount Prospect, IL who Felix helped during his time of need. The customer’s basement flooded while he was undergoing cancer treatments, preventing him from moving the heavy debris and lifting heavy items, especially up the stairs. Felix came to the rescue and volunteered to help remove the debris on his own after work, even recruiting his wife of 28 years, Sylvia, to help.
On and off his route, Felix is an outstanding person who genuinely cares for his customers and community. He is a father of two to daughter Alyssa (27) and son Joshua (26). He is active in his local church and enjoys working on his yard and hiking in his free time.
