What has been your career path at Republic and what piece of heavy equipment do you operate now?
I began in the industry driving a Container Delivery truck. Performed many tasks to support the daily operations of the company during my tenure, i.e. Swing Driver, drove Tractor-Trailers, handled medical waste and painted trucks. I am currently a Roll-Off driver.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the job I do. I like the customers and my co-workers also. The money is great, too.
Based on your experience, do you have any advice for new drivers?
Respect the job and be safe in everything that you do.
What makes you good at your job?
I follow the processes on accomplishing my tasks and have found ways to become more efficient.
What actions do you take every day to make sure you get home safe each night?
I utilize the Smith System during every second I am behind the wheel – it really works for me.
