Jim’s first day on the job was April 1, 1975, as litter picker. Over the years, he climbed the ranks, becoming a loader operator then earning his permit to operate a roll-off truck. In 1981, Jim was promoted to Supervisor. As the company grew, so did Jim’s role. Delta Container expanded its services to include Front-Load and Residential fleets, and Jim helped lead the way. In 1998, when Allied Waste acquired Delta Container, Jim transitioned seamlessly and continued serving as an Operations Manager. When Republic Services merged with Allied Waste in 2008, Jim remained a backbone of the organization, bringing his wisdom, leadership and unwavering work ethic to the team.
“Thank you for your decades of service, your leadership, and the profound impact you’ve had on your team, your community, and the Republic team. Here’s to 50 amazing years — and the legacy you continue to build every day.” — Molly G., Area Collection Manager, Operations
