At Republic Services, we believe in the power of continuous growth and development of our employees. The Republic Services Technical Institute, located in Dallas, TX, offers a Continuous Development Program to help employees advance their career and unlock their full potential.
The program offers over 50 classes for technicians of all skill levels, supervisors and managers, and union and non-union employees. Depending on the course, classes vary from 2 to 4 days and are held monthly in-person at the Technical Institute.
The Continuous Development Program targets the key areas needed to maintain our trucks and equipment effectively. We currently offer courses in:
- Engine diagnostics
- Hydraulics
- Electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting and
- Equipment-specific training.
These courses provide technical fundamentals and knowledge of new technology, all following Republic Services’ safety standards.

More Classes Coming in 2025!
The Republic Services Technical Institute will expand its class offerings to include Tune-up and Injector Cups, Fuel Systems and Components, Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety, EV PMI, and will offer courses in Spanish.
