Phoenix Headquarters volunteers showed up and made a difference for our community in April. More than 200 volunteers worked 30 minute shifts to pack 3,500 heat relief bags. Of those, 2,000 went to City of Phoenix’s PHX Volunteer and 1,500 went to the American Red Cross. Teams packed supplies and wrote notes of support. The bags will help people stay safe during Arizona’s extreme heat and support local cooling centers.
Thank you to our Business Resource Groups, volunteers and partners who made the day such a success. Special thanks to our vendor partners, Cintas, Staples, Guy Brown and Ritz Safety, who donated supplies for the heat bags. This event is a powerful example of what we can accomplish when we come together with a shared purpose.
