Thank you to our 240 HQ Corporate employees who came together for a Better Together Volunteer Event to help local students prepare for the new school year.
Hosted by our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and the Republic Services Charitable Foundation, volunteers spent the day packing school supplies into 1,150 backpacks that will be distributed through Backpacks 4 Kids AZ and Southwest Human Development. The event supported local families and helped students start the school year ready to learn.
This effort was made possible by our volunteers, BRGs, 10 room leaders, five Charitable Foundation and Inclusion & Diversity team members, and Phoenix-area BUs who delivered backpacks to local nonprofits. Together, we’re making a difference for students and families across Arizona because we’re Better Together.
