Healthy Eating Habits: Meal Prep

This month is all about creating healthy eating habits, and one way is with meal planning. Meal planning can help you save time and money, waste less food, control portion sizes, and inspire creativity in the kitchen! You can use meal planning to build a balanced diet in just a few simple steps:

  1. Start with what you know: Make a list of healthy meals that you already enjoy eating or recipes that you’ve been wanting to try.
  2. Pick and plan: Pick your meals and plan when you’re going to have them.
  3. Make a shopping list: Make – and stick to – a shopping list before going to the grocery store.
  4. Make the most of your time and money: Try doubling recipes for multiple uses throughout the week and freezing the leftovers. You can also wash and prepare fruits and veggies ahead of time for easy snacking.
