At Republic Services, we are focused relentlessly on creating an inclusive and diverse workforce where all employees are welcomed and valued.  We are committed to being an employer of choice for women by implementing best-in-class recruiting efforts, creating development opportunities for our female employees to grow their careers, and supporting women-owned businesses and charitable organizations.  We are proud to have been recognized for our work on Forbes America’s Best Employers for Women lists (2019 and 2020). This recognition is amongst several other notable honors including World’s Most Admired Companies, Barron’s Most Sustainable Companies and the Great Place to Work certification.

We’re passionate about being a leading employer for women. Our industry has historically had a very small percentage of drivers who are women and we have led the way in attracting and hiring female drivers with our award-winning She Drives campaign. The support for this program through our field leaders has led to an increase in women drivers in locations across the country. As our business continues to evolve and grow,  we encourage all of our leaders to continue to tap into talented pools of women to join our company. While we have made tremendous strides to creating an inclusive environment where women choose to work, we are committed to doing even more. Our combined efforts to hire and retain female employees will help us to further represent the diverse communities and customers we serve. Let’s continue to move the needle forward, together.
