As we begin the new year, please keep these benefit updates in mind:
New medical ID cards:
- If you are enrolled in a Republic Services UHC medical plan, you should have already received your new medical card in the mail to your home.
- Using your old card may result in denied prescriptions or claims, so be sure to present your new card at the pharmacy and at medical visits.
- If you need additional access to your new card visit myuhc.com and download your 2026 card.
New Leave of Absence Process:
- Leave of absence and short-term disability services have been enhanced and are now managed by one best-in-class vendor, Sedgwick.
- This change simplifies the leave request process and replaces Alight and The Hartford.
- Short-term disability pay has also been streamlined and will now come directly from RSI Payroll instead of a third party.
- To report any leave of absences:
- By Phone: 855-550-6327
- Online: mysedgwick.com/RepublicServices
- Learn more about our new leave of absence/disability process on the new benefits website republicservicesbenefits.com.
Updated policies:
- Leave of absence policies have been updated with the new processes with Sedgwick.
- To access the policies, please reach out to your local HR manager, or log into the Policies and Procedures Manual section on the Benefits Solver
