A customer in Huntington Beach recently recognized Residential Recycle Driver Antwan L. for his acts of kindness. The customer and his wife were preparing for the birth of a grandchild and setting up a nursery which resulted in multiple large furniture boxes arriving at their home. Antwan went out of his way to help the customer with the loading of this extra material and took a personal interest in the excitement surrounding the coming birth of this baby.
On a subsequent pick-up the customer placed a note on his container letting Antwan know the baby had been born. On this occasion, Antwan personally walked all three containers to the side gate to further express his excitement and congratulations. A very cool connection was established between Antwan and this customer! In a note of gratitude, the customer wrote in part:
“On March 9, my grandson was born! A week later, my wife and I were really worn out given the prior week’s activities. I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to get up on time to greet Antwan and fill him in on our grandson. So I taped a large paper to my Blue can with a simple note inscribed ‘Hi Antwan – It’s a BOY!’ When I got up, I looked at my front yard security camera to check if the trash had been picked up. I saw that it had and I also saw Antwan lower his head to read my note for longer than just a few moments and then move all 3 of my trash cans from the curb to my side gate. Needless to say, your company not only has an excellent employee, but more importantly, a Super Human! I am personally honored to be able to now call him a friend.”
Customer Zeal at its finest!
