For Career Day in Western Maryland, the young daughter of Stephanie M., General Manager Accelerated Program (GMAP), wore a Republic Services shirt to school. “I want to be just like my mom helping to pick up trash. She collects trash which is helpful to the world,” says Mac.
Stephanie has been with Republic Services for 10 years, starting in billing and then working in Operations as both a Supervisor and Manager. She started the GMAP program at the end of January 2024. As a role model for her daughter, she wants Mac to know that “being a leader is not about telling people what to do, it is learning what motivates your employees to make a strong team focused on the same goal.”

Our full-time, 24-month GMAP program offers on-the-job training and formal learning through a structured sequence of responsibilities and rotation through key roles within the Company. You’ll build close working relationships with executives, managers, employees and customers.
