When a fuel tanker overturned into Indian Creek near Port Angeles, Washington, our Emergency Response team was on the ground quickly to help. Working by hand to protect the sensitive waterway, the team recovered spilled fuel while helping preserve a critical salmon habitat and area of cultural significance.
The response:
- 7,000 gallons of fuel recovered
- 30 emergency responders deployed
- 5 miles of Indian Creek cleaned and restored
- Zero injuries recorded
