Safety is more than a goal at Northwest Tennessee Landfill. It’s part of the daily routine.
The team recently reached 1,000 consecutive days without a workplace accident at a site that spans 610 acres and serves 20 counties across Tennessee and Kentucky.
Handling about 20,000 truckloads each year takes focus and teamwork. Daily huddles, regular check-ins and a strong safety mindset help keep employees safe. Team members are also empowered to stop work if something doesn’t seem right.
For this team, 1,000 days accident-free is an important milestone. It’s motivation to keep building on the habits that got them there.
