We asked our five Company Top Shop maintenance leaders a couple of questions about safety, teamwork and what makes their shop stand out.

What makes your team exceptional?
Our four shops are staffed by experienced professionals who are experts in their fields and committed to supporting one another. By removing obstacles and empowering people to do their jobs, we’ve built a cohesive team with minimal turnover and nearly 100 years of combined experience.
What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?
I’m most proud of our team’s accountability, resilience and commitment to providing safe, reliable trucks to support our operations. Our technicians hold one another to high standards, while our maintenance clerks drive the accuracy and financial discipline that have helped us meet or come in under budget for four consecutive years
Post Collections – DFW Post Collection
Maintenance Manager: Jason W.
What makes your team exceptional?
Our maintenance team works closely with operations every day to keep equipment running and our landfills operating successfully. Their talent, commitment and partnership are critical to our success.
What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?
I’m proud of how our team adapted to the MPower implementation in 2025. While the transition was challenging, working through it together made us a stronger team.

How does your team keep safety top of mind?
In addition to our daily safety actions and tool talks, we focus on staying engaged with one another. Staying dialed in with your coworkers creates more personal, trusting communication. We strive to stay engaged by listening, coaching and helping each other stay focused on the top priority: working safely every day.
What makes your team exceptional?
The technicians at the Morris Recycling Center take immense pride in their work and are committed to doing things the right way. They care deeply about the facility’s performance and take the results personally. I believe that’s what sets them apart. If it were up to me, they would win this award every year!
Environmental Solutions – Texas Coast
Maintenance Manager: James A.
How does your team keep safety top of mind?
We keep safety top of mind every day by inspecting work areas, tools and equipment before starting any job. We always wear the required PPE and follow established safety procedures. Before working on equipment, we ensure proper Lockout/Tagout procedures are followed to isolate all hazardous energy sources.
What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?
First and foremost, I’m proud that everyone goes home safely each day. Beyond safety, our team has earned Top Shop recognition for three consecutive years through hard work, professionalism and teamwork. I am also proud of the dedication and pride they bring to their work every day, consistently delivering quality repairs and maintenance while supporting one another.
Compactor Solution Center – North Las Vegas
