In 2024, Republic Services reached a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to our 2017 baseline. That’s real progress on the path to our 2030 goal of a 35% reduction—and it’s all thanks to the work happening across our business every day.
From adding electric collection trucks to enhancing landfill gas systems, and keeping food and yard waste out of landfills, every initiative adds up to meaningful impact.
