E-bikes and e-scooters are becoming more common on roads, sidewalks and shared paths. Because they can move quickly and appear suddenly, it’s important to stay alert whether you’re at work, commuting or spending time at home.
Take a few extra seconds to scan intersections, crosswalks, parking lots, driveways and neighborhood streets. Watch for riders near schools, parks, downtown areas and busy community spaces – especially during commute times, after school, on weekends and during local events.
Give riders extra space, avoid distractions and don’t assume they will stop or slow down. These simple habits can help protect employees, families and others in the communities we serve.
